Collections WA and Trove join forces

Researchers and the curious will now be able to access digital collections from the powerful engine that is Collections WA in Trove. 

So far, the collections of the Albany Historical Society, City of Armadale – History House Museum, Baseball WA, Brusselton Historical Society, Claremont Museum, Dowerin District Museum, Eastern Goldfields Historical Society, Greenough Museum and Gardens, Irwin Districts Historical Society, Merredin Railway Museum, Princess Royal Fortress Military Museum, the Shire of Toodyay, the City of Karratha Local History Archives and Manjimup Heritage Park are already available in Trove, and more will be added over time. Check out the list of organisations on Collections WA whose significant local records will appear in Trove search results in the future.

Collections WA is a free, searchable platform that brings together collections from libraries, galleries, museums, archives, historical societies, cultural organisations, community groups and other collecting organisations across Western Australia. Over 23,000 records are visible from more than 40 regional, remote and community organisations.

Collections WA and Trove were both built upon strong foundations of access and collaboration. By joining forces, they continue in this spirit to extend the Western Australian search results in Trove and to build broader connections with Western Australia’s intricate history.
